Most of the flights to and from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport are “red-eyes” that leave between 9 pm and 2 am.
Because of the extended hours, many vendors stay open later to accommodate travelers. We asked Rob Stapleton of AlaskaFoto.com to put together a time-lapse video of a typical evening at the airport. Special music by Marian Call: “Good Morning, Moon” (used with permission). We hope you enjoy it!
Here are some of the red-eye departures on a typical evening:
Anchorage-Seattle (3 red-eyes)
Anchorage-Phoenix (operated as USAir until Oct. 16)
Anchorage-Dallas (through Oct. 6)
