Wow–we had a great time in the Gateway City of Ketchikan. Of course, it’s lots of fun to do the cool stuff, including:
1. Flightseeing in Misty Fjords National Monument with Taquan Air.
2. Go on a Zipline out at Herring Cove with Alaska Canopy Adventures.
3. Go kayaking with Southeast Sea Kayaks.

Finally, tho’, I got to go fishing. I stayed with friends this time: Jeff and Nadra Wedekind of Chinook Shores Lodge. It’s north of town (about 15 miles) near Clover Pass. Jeff had the day off, so Nadra made some muffins and we left the dock around 7:00 a.m. in his boat.

Yes, I caught some fish! Afterwards, Nadra and I paddled around in her fancy Hobie kayaks. You paddle with your feet, so you can fish! We saw whales, sea lions…the works. Check out the photo gallery.

Oh, I wrote a story about my adventure in the Alaska Dispatch News. Check it out.
