Alyeska Resort: Your year-round playground!

In Uncategorized by scott

It’s true–Alyeska Resort is your year-round playground. Ride the tram. Have dinner at the resort (or up above at Seven Glaciers!). Hike Winner Creek…maybe even a flightseeing trip! Don’t look now…but fall has arrived. Sure, there are falling leaves, but at the resort there is OKTOBERFEST today and tomorrow. Check out the picture (right) with Chris von Imhof in the middle (he always gets the girls!).

SEE BELOW for info on upcoming BITE of the CHUGACH, Oct. 6-8!

Oktoberfest  (today and tomorrow) offers up  live music, souvenir steins and merrymaking. Get your polka on with great local oompah bands, grab a Paulaner and sample authentic Bavarian delicacies. CLICK HERE to see the FOOD!!  FREE ENTRY!

Alyeska Resort is your year-round resort. So what’s stopping you from visiting this weekend? Huh? Here are some tips:

Fall Free Tram package. Receive free tram tickets for the whole family (2 adults and up to 3 kids) when you book a night at the Hotel Alyeska (from $149). Enjoy the saltwater pool, hot tub and fitness center.

Take a ride on the Aerial Tram to 2,300 ft and take in panoramic views of the endless Chugach mountains and Turnagain Arm. Visit the historic Roundhouse Museum, grab lunch at the newly remodeled Bore Tide Deli and an Alyeska Brewski at the brand new Bore Tide Bar, or take a hike! Valid through Oct. 8, 2017.

Romance Package. This is one of my favorite packages at the hotel. The deal includes overnight accommodations, a bottle of chilled Veuve Clicquot Champagne (Christy’s FAVE btw), gourmet chocolate treats and tram tickets for two.

EXTRA: For $249 per couple, enjoy a 50-minute couples massage at the spa.

COMING UP in October: The first-ever “Bite of the Chugach,” Oct. 6-8. The event will feature chefs from around Southcentral Alaska showcasing their specialties. Live music. Special pairings (Champagne + oysters, bacon + rosé). Food trucks, live music, craft beer, gourmet sliders….LOTS of fun stuff. LEARN MORE!

Did I mention FLIGHTSEEING? Do it. I did. You’ll love it!
