Sounds like fun, huh? Christy and I were “celebrating the Arctic” on a weekend last year at the Lodge At Black Rapids….But now the “North by North Festival” is having a big celebration May 12-14 right here in Anchorage.

NxN: Innovate Arctic, Fri., May 12. This is a series of TED-style talks from speakers representing eight Arctic nations.
Circumpolar Arctic Film Festival, May 12-14. Film festival directors from around the Arctic will feature selected films.
Arts, Crafts and Culture Expo, May 13-14. Features Alaska artisans, craftspeople and northern vendors.
NxN Arctic Dance Party, May 12-14. Featuring seven DJs from Iceland, Norway, U.S., Canada, Greenland, Finland and Russia, mixed in with outstanding Alaska artists.
Local and Northern Foods – Northern Inspired, Globally Edible, May 13. Eight food trucks representing the Arctic nations – U.S., Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia.
