Alaska Air: New Orleans photo gallery, plus great prices (MUST purchase by TOMORROW, MAR. 9, 2015)

We flew Alaska Airlines from Anchorage to Seattle and then nonstop to New Orleans. I used our companion pass from our Alaska Air VISA card, so Christy’s ticket was $141. That’s much less than my $650 ticket! We <3 the Alaska Air VISA card from Bank of America. By the way, starting next year (April of 2016), you’ll be able to use your Visa card at COSTCO. Buh-bye AMEX.

BIG SURPRISE: Check out some of the images of the WHITE HOUSE HOTEL in Biloxi, Mississippi. We spent one night there while exploring the Mississippi coast. The hotel is lovely (recently renovated) and the RESTAURANT is glorious. I got the steak, but the “shrimp and grits” is a local favorite.

BIG WRITE UP of New Orleans in the Alaska Dispatch News.

REMEMBER: Club 49 members get TWO FREE CHECKED BAGS when traveling to/from Alaska. And although I had to stand around in Anchorage waiting for my bag, Alaska did give me 2,500 miles for my trouble. It’s part of their baggage guarantee. FYI, after receiving my miles, I turned around and BEHOLD, my bag was disgorged from the belly of the bag well!!
