Meet Jody Overstreet of Alaska Photo Treks. Join Jody or one of the other photo guides on a selection of photo treks—from one afternoon to a multi-day trek. Jody is an outdoor and travel enthusiast. You can surf around and see her work in many publications.
Here are just a few of the treks she’s working on:
a. Sunset Photo Safari in Anchorage. Depending on the light and the weather, you’ll shoot from some great vantage points around Anchorage and Chugach State Park. If the moon cycle is right, you’ll get to see the sunset AND the moonrise over the Chugach Mountains!
b. Denali Winter Trek. This is an AWESOME weekend trek north from Anchorage to Talkeetna on the Alaska Railroad. Stay at the Talkeetna Roadhouse. Get some action shots of sled dogs and tromp through the snow on snowshoes! Cue the bonfire + marshmallows!! Then there’s the flight around Denali. Ya. That!!
c. Brown Bear Photo Trek (summertime). This tour features some of the best views of Anchorage, along with a stunnign flightseeing tour to photography brown bears in their natural habitat. Check it out!
Jody and the crew will coach you on the right camera gear, what to wear and give you the deep background you need to make sure you get the most from yoru photo trek! LEARN MORE!
