TALKEETNA ALASKA LODGE/GRANDE DENALI package:
Day one: It’s fun to head north from Anchorage in the shadow of Denali. Make your first stop in Talkeetna. This is the fun little town where Stubbs the cat is the mayor (altho’ he’s termed-out!). The Talkeetna AlaskanLodge (pictured, left) has some great food and 
some awesome views of the Great One, Denali. It’s also close to the airport where you can go flightseeing (that’s what we did. Heck–that’s how I got that picture!!). Or, catch a ride on Mahay’s Jetboat Adventures for a river trip up the Susitna River…also optional.
Day two: Get up and head north to Denali Park! Overnight accommodations at the Grande Denali Lodge. You’ve got a great view of the Nenana River Valley. Head to bed early, since the wildlife tours start just before 6AM!
Day three: It’s not included in the package, but I recommend the long Wilderness Explorer tour into Denali National Park!
