In Airfares, Alaska Travelgram by scott

Hey, did you see the latest Alaska Airlines plane? It features “Cars” characters Mater, Lightning McQueen, Guido and Luigi. The 737-800, dubbed  “Adventure of Disneyland Resort,” is the latest Disney-themed plane. Also up in the air: Tinkerbell, the Genie from “Aladdin” and Goofy. Click through for the latest vacation deals at Disneyland.

Before we dive into some of our favorite deals, remember to check out the weekly fare sales at CLUB 49. Sign up for the emails and you’ll get a fresh batch of bargains every week.  In the meantime, here are some fares we like:

Anchorage-Portland, from $380rt!
Anchorage-Phoenix NONSTOP $416rt starting Jan. 11, 2014 .
Anchorage-Las Vegas NONSTOP $396rt starting Jan. 12, 2014.

Sure. Great air fares are awesome. But don’t forget the extras. Like Alaska Air’s VISA card. You get 25,000 Mileage Plan bonus miles just for signing up. Also, you get a coach-class companion fare each year. Buy one ticket and the second person goes for $114-$141 roundtrip. The card costs $75 per year—but I think the companion pass is worth the fee! Also, you get a mile for every dollar you spend. HEY—it all adds up!
