Lots going on at Alaska Airlines. Did you read that Bill Ayer (below), the CEO, is retiring? Oh, he’s not flying off into the sunset just yet. They’re bumping him upstairs to Chairman. The current President, 
Brad Tilden, will assume the mantle of CEO. I’ve interviewed Bill a couple of times–once on airline-related issues. But the other interview on “Angel Flight” ( http://www.angelflight.org/ ) was fascinating. Bill is one of a group of aircraft owner/pilots that fly kids around between their homes and medical facilities for treatment. Congratulations, Bill–and fair winds.
