Feeding time at the Alaska Sealife Center

Eels, seals, puffins and more! It’s feeding time at the Alaska Sealife Center in Seward, Alaska! Mammologist Amber Stephens guides us through the motions–and tells us about the special “Marine Mammal Encounter” now available at the center. When you visit Seward, be sure and stay at the Historic Van Gilder Hotel. There’s no food service on-site (although they do have a kitchen you can use). So go around the corner to the Sea Bean Cafe for awesome coffee. And drive over to the harbor and eat breakfast at the Smoke Shack (aka the “Train Wreck”. Ask anyone–they’ll show you where it is).  And to see these critters in the wild, sail with Major Marine Tours on one of their wildlife cruises. Awesome.
