Girls! FISH ON!

In Adventure, Alaska Travelgram by scott

Just got off the phone with Pudge Kleinkauf of Women’s Flyfishing. Pudge just published a book about Arctic Grayling, which she calls “Sailfish of the North”. And she has several trips coming up this summer. She’s always on the move–and always looking to get more women into flyfishing! Check out these great trips. Then–BOOK ‘EM!
1. Lake Clark: Choose from a five-day trip (July 2-6–$2,850pp)  or a two-day trip (July 7-8–$1,600 pp). Fly from Anchorage to Port Alsworth and stay at the Farm Lodge. Grayling, lake trout, char, and sockeye are on the agenda. Check out the trip details.
2. Wood Tikchik State Park: (August 21-24—$2,700 pp) Fly from Dillingham to the camp on Nerka Lake. Fish for trophy rainbows, char, grayling, and even pike! Fish for at least two different species each day! Stay in alarge yurt w/fireplace! Wood Tikchick is the largest state part in the country, this is a chance to explore it with some fantastic, “away from the crowds” fishing. Learn more here.
3. Cordova Silver Salmon: (September 8-12—-$2,250 pp) Want silvers to wear your arm out? This is the trip for you! Stay at the comfy, waterfront Orca Adventure Lodge.  Besides silvers, there usually are some Dolly Varden, char and even some cutthroat trout! The lodge will fillet, vacuum pack and freeze your catch to take home. Learn more.
