The Hedgehog Dryer is the latest addition to the Raun’s family mudroom

Meet the Hedgehog Dryer. It’s the latest in power-drying for all of your soggy accoutrements: boots, gloves, hats and such.

Special Correspondent Cassandra Raun put the Hedgehog to the ultimate test: keeping dry things dry in a family full of active skiers and outdoor adventurers. Here is her report:

Living a life of outdoor adventure comes with the risk of wet clothing. Add three teenagers to that adventurous life and the collection of wet hats, gloves and boots may threaten to overwhelm you.

Boot dryers are great but they take up space and typically only offer 2 or 4 dryer points.

Not the Hedgehog Dryer. The Hedgehog Dryer offers 6 points, enough to dry a full body collection of wet appendage clothing.  The settings are adjustable, with clearly marked buttons, so on the off chance you don’t have 6 wet items you can turn on only the points that you need.

Air temperature and air pressure are also adjustable. Additionally, the lower two points are flexible hoses that easily bend and stretch to reach all the way to the toes of your wet boots or running shoes.

Best of all, in my book, the Hedgehog Dryer cleanly and neatly attaches to the wall, saving space with increased functionality.  I highly recommend the Hedgehog Dryer and will make good use of it for many wet, adventurous years to come!
