You’ve heard of the Sheldon Chalet, right? That’s the super-fancy lodge that literally sits on top of a mountain in the middle of the Ruth Glacier on Denali.
Actually, it’s overlooking the Don Sheldon Amphitheater, which is named after the legendary Bush Pilot, Don Sheldon.
The chalet is flat-out luxurious. Gourmet meals, guided expeditions on the glacier, helicopter transfers (the sauna is located under the heli-pad). Almost everything about the chalet is “once-in-a-lifetime.” Check the photos, below.
Win a four-day/three-night stay at the chalet for two ($18,900 value). The Talkeetna Historical Society and Museum is holding a raffle. Only 300 tickets are being sold ($125 each). The ONLY way you can buy a ticket is to CALL the museum on the phone. (907)733-2487. You can use your credit card over the phone if you wish.
By the way, the museum was one of Roberta Sheldon’s (Don’s widow) passions. Be sure and visit the museum when you’re in Talkeetna.
So, when they say “all-inclusive” they really mean it. You go up and back by helicopter. All your (gourmet) meals are included. Check out the photos from earlier this week. It will blow your mind. Or, just check out the website.
Fine print: Employees and family members of the Talkeetna Historical Society & Museum and/or the Sheldon Chalet are ineligible. Drawing will be held Oct. 26, 2019. Need not be present to win. Prize includes helicopter transfer from Talkeetna, accommodations, meals, gear and excursions on the glacier. Prize must be redeemed no later than Oct. 30, 2020. Other restrictions, terms and conditions may apply.
