Come early and grab a bite at the airport! Check out the airport’s new restaurants “Pork and Pickle” and “Sushi on the Fly.” That’s in addition to the great food available at “Norton Sound” and “Humpy’s.” If you’re traveling between 2-4pm or 7-9pm, get a 15 percent discount when you have the airport’s “PASSPORT TO SAVINGS.” It’s available downstairs at the Visit Anchorage information booth (next to Alaska Airlines Baggage Claim!). I posed with Dale and Peerooza (above). There are lots of other coupons in the “Passport.” It’s free. GET ONE!!!
There’s also a new “Sleeping Lady” lounge on the upper level between “B” and “C” featuring a h-u-g-e screen for movies and a perfect bar for plane-watching.
Traveling with kids? Seek out the “Read on the Fly” book cases in the Nursery on the B concourse (pictured, below). There, your young travelers can pick out a book to take on their trip!!
Erin and the “AKontheGo” crew have set up several bookshelves on both sides of security (in front of the Condor check-in counter and also down by the Ravn Alaska gates in the A concourse). There, kids can take a free book to read on the trip! LEARN ALL ABOUT the program.
