Check out three ways to save on your trip to Kenai Fjords National Park from Alaska Heritage Tours.
1. Hike around Exit Glacier before your cruise. Head to Seward the day before your cruise and stay overnight at the Seward Windsomg Lodge. I recommend the “Bacon Bleu” burger in the bar. AWESOME. Get up in the morning and join the 8:30am tour. It’s a guided hike of the glacier. Afterwards, take the shuttle from the Seward Windsong Lodge to the harbor for the 12:00 Noon Resurrection Bay cruise. Stop at Fox Island for a salmon and prime rib buffet lunch! YUMM!
2. Save 10 percent on a rail-and-cruise daytrip with the Alaska Railroad and Kenai Fjords Tours. I definitely recommend the National Park Tour (right, the Orca Voyager near the face of Aialik Glacier). It’s a six-hour, 100 mile trip. Lunch is served on board. Or, choose the Resurrection Bay Wildlife Tour. This 50-mile tour features a stop at Fox Island, where lunch is served! Travel roundtrip between Anchorage and Seward on the Alaska Railroad.
3. Save 10 percent on a rail-cruise-n-stay package. This special package includes roundtrip Anchorage-Seward passage on the Mighty Alaska Railroad (pictured, right), followed by a cruise to see the glaciers and wildlife in Kenai Fjords National Park. Again—I’m bullish on the National Park Tour, but you also can get the special discount in conjunction with the shorter Resurrection Bay Tour. After your cruise, catch the complimentary shuttle from the small boat harbor to the Seward Windsong Lodge. And yes, this is your chance to enjoy the “Bacon Bleu” burger!
The Kenai Fjords Tours are featured in “50 Tours of a Lifetime” in National Geographic Traveler Magazine! Take advantage of these specials!
