It’s the Running of the Reindeer! You don’t want to miss it: Pamplona meets Anchorage. This is the runaway hit (no pun intended….HAHAAHA) of our mid-winter Fur Rendezvous festival here. It’s part of our Big Wild Life here in Anchorage!!

TOMORROW, is the BIG start of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race downtown. This is the Last Great Race–from Anchorage to Nome. Tomorrow’s ceremonial start is a showcase event, with mushers heading through the downtown course with their “Iditariders”. The re-start is tomorrow in Willow. Don’t miss the fun downtown tomorrow! Insert BIG YELL HERE: Go DEE DEE…running her 31st Iditarod. We’re pulling for her!! Of course, our hearts go out to ALL the mushers–who have trained and sacrificed countless hours to get to this point. And the DOGS!! Wow! It’s going to be a GREAT RACE!!
But while you’re meandering downtown, get hooked on the“100 Days of Dining” program from select downtown Anchorage restaurants. Great places like Ginger, Crush, Fletcher’s and the Glacier Brewhouse.
