I’m giving away a copy of this über-cool Alaska Airlines book! And we’re getting some great entries in the photo contest, like this one (above) from Kim Galleher in Nome! Kim writes:
This pic was taken on the Snake River in Nome. Our friends Kelli and Mike Howell were visiting from Chicago and for the last week we’d been taking them to all the scenic fishing spots around Nome with no luck. We decided on this spot (the least scenic as the runway is obviously right across from the river) but just as Mike hooked his first salmon the AK jet took off and he ended up with the fish and a great, unique picture!
Are you a bona-fide Aviation Geek (“AvGeek”)? Then you’ll love the Alaska Airlines book by Cliff and Nancy Hollenbeck. I picked up a copy at Costco the other day. It’s filled with great photos, stories and memories of the airline that is celebrating its 80th birthday this year.
I’m going to give away a signed copy of the book to one lucky Alaska Travelgram reader. Just send me your favorite Alaska Airlines photo. No other requirements–it could be “tail art” . Maybe it’s a shot of a plane on a tarmac. I’ll pick a good photo and post it…then send the winner a book! BE SURE and include your name, address and phone number in the email with your picture!! Send your photo by email: [email protected] .
In the meantime, check out the book itself!
