If you live in Alaska and you fly on Alaska Airlines (like most of us), I can’t think of a single reason not to sign up for Club 49.
Hey–can I put in a plug for the Alaska Airlines Visa card? Sure, there’s the 25,000 bonus miles on approval. And it’s a convenient way to get lots of bonus miles when you buy your tickets with the card. But I really like the $99 Companion Fare that comes each year. Heck–that’s why we carry two of the cards here at Chez McMurren. Typically we use the companion fare to Mexico. WIth the taxes, it comes out to around $192. Not bad!
