Air fare tricks: a little bit of the secret sauce

In Airfares, Alaska Travelgram, Consumer, Technology by scott

This week’s article in the Alaska Dispatch features one of my favorite air fare tricks:
breaking the fare. Often, you can save hundreds (or thousands) of dollars just by the way you purchase a fare. It’s sometimes more economical to purchase two end-on-end tickets to a destination than it is to get the “published” fare. In this article, I demonstrate how to save a few hundred dollars using some good deals to New York or Miami, then buying a cheap international ticket from there! I read the Alaska Dispatch every day (not just to check up on my boo-boos either). You should, too.

Oh, the photo above? I call it “Thirty seconds over Fresno”. The three lights next to the moon? I dunno….Space Invaders??  HA
