California Dreamin’: Gracianna Wines

In Alaska Travelgram, Consumer, Shopping by scott

My friend Trini and his family have a winery in Sonoma County. His son, Trini IV (T-4) is the winemaker. He and his sister, Ashley have worked in the wine business for some time. Now, the whole family is in the act. I met Trini here in Anchorage when he worked for radio stations KWHL and KFQD. Here’s a picture of me and Trini at his home along the Russian River in Sonoma County:

Gracianna Wines now offers its first vintages: a Pinot Noir and a Zinfandel.

Check the website. Buy some wine. I did. In fact, I bought a few bottles, though I’m not sure how long I can just let them SIT there.

Trini, Lisa and his family share a rich California heritage. Below, Lisa holds a bottle of Pinot Noir and a bottle of the Zinfandel:

It’s always fun to visit the Amadors in Sonoma County. Below, we’re zipping up the coast from San Francisco for a tour of the vineyards:

We’ll think of the Amadors often, especially when we’re pouring a glass of Gracianna Pinot Noir or Zinfandel–either of which would pair nicely with some grilled Alaska salmon!
