OK–Credit where credit is due. Aside from the Christmas carol, the first time I heard Anchorage described as a “Vintuh Vuhnerland” was at a conference with Chris von Imhof. For years, Chris managed Alyeska Resort. And he’s always been bullish on Anchorage as a winter destination.

In the winter, I also ride my bike through the park-complete with studs on the tires.

Head down to Alaska Mountaineering and Hiking on Spenard Rd. in Anchorage and buy your pin to support the Nordic Ski Club’s grooming efforts.

They’re getting set for the Tour of Anchorage–a citywide skiing event on March 8, 2009. I’m training now for the 25K ski–how about you?
