We’ve been waiting for this. Effective NOW, you can use your Alaska Air miles for Condor flights. You can book them online at AlaskaAir.com . Of course, Condor flies nonstop from Anchorage, Fairbanks and Whitehorse to Frankfurt. But there are a host of other destinations. This may be more information than you need or want, but my friends at Alaska Air offered up the available destinations. Just keep in mind that not all destinations are served each day.
Just for grins, I called Alaska Airlines and booked a ticket to Namibia on Condor, with a free stop in Frankfurt. It was 55,000 miles for the outbound leg in late August.
When you search on the Alaska Air website for available flights, you may find flights from other partner airlines, including Icelandair and Emirates. Beware the British Air flights, as there is the onerous “Heathrow Tax” to contend with.
