Mind if I gush? I’ve called Anchorage my home for almost 33 years. It’s a fabulous place to live, love, play, work–and just plain “be”. Never mind those of us who live here are in serious striking distance of world-class adventure. Above–I hiked with our exchange student, Sulis Fitri (from Indonesia), up Flat Top Mountain on her last day in Anchorage. PERFECT Anchorage brain-stain, huh? Blue skies, bright sun–BIG WILD LIFE!!
The folks at the Anchorage Convention and Visitors Bureau have a great guide for you to check out–and to send off to visiting friends and relatives. Oh–you also can download it (we’re oh-so-modern here in Alaska’s biggest city!).
It’s here: “Big Wild Life” Blend Coffee at Kaladi’s
Have you heard? Anchorage now has its own official blend of coffee – the Big Wild Life blend (And I helped!!). Sample it at any Anchorage Kaladi Brothers Cafe. Purchase some beans and brew it up at home. It’s bold and delicious – just like life in Anchorage (HA!).
