Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

My partner in radio crime (KOAN 1020AM), Erin Kirkland, is headed with “AK Fam” down to Alyeska Resort this weekend. It’s a great getaway, of course–for the day, for the weekend or for the week! HA!

Of course, the weather is perfect for skiing the mountain. It’s sunny. It’s brisk. There’s plenty of snow. And if you get a little chilly, stop in for something warm to drink at the Roundhouse or the lodge!

If you’re staying at the hotel, bring your swimsuit–there’s a great pool. Here’s a  rundown of some great events this week:

THIS WEEKEND: “Solfest”. Celebrate the Winter Solstice today through Sunday. This evening and tomorrow night (Dec. 17-18, 2010), enjoy a free show outside the daylodge from “Church of the Flaming Funk”! Whoa! 5-8pm.

Later, enjoy “Last Train” at the Sitzmark. They start at 10pm. It’s $5 for those guests 21 and over.

NEW YEAR’S EVE: “Lez Zeppelin” will rock the house for three nights to help ring out 2010 and ring in 2011. “All Girls, All Zeppelin” is this group’s handle.

Special packages include accommodations and special “Rock Star” extras!

The Spa at Alyeska: Call it a special treat for yourself! This package includes accommodations and a $100 spa credit.

Cash in at Costco. Alyeska Resort has teamed up with Costco to offer a couple of great offers:
a. Three lift tickets for $130.
b. Overnight accommodations for $140 (excludes 12/30/10-1/2/2011).

Whether it’s downhill skiing/snowboarding, great dining and entertainment, the POOL, the spa…well, it’s all at Alyeska Resort. It’s a Winter Wonderland in Girdwood!
