Whoa. The “Passports with Purpose” project has taken off! For every $10 you donate, you’re entered to win a prize you choose. We (Alaskatravelgram.com) donated one Seattle TourSaver and one Great Alaska TourSaver to the cause, but there is a whole list of prizes from which to choose.
Already, this year’s Holiday fund-raising quest is in the second stage. The first stage, to build a school, now is secure, thanks to a matching grant. Now, we’re raising money for a Hagar water filter ($300 ), a “Victory” vegetable garden ($7,500 funds first two years, $2,000 each additional year) and a school nurse ($5400).
This school project is supporting “American Assistance for Cambodia”. Our project, Passports with Purpose, is a collection of travel bloggers (including Seattle blog-girls Wanserlustandlipstick.com, nerdseyeview.com and deliciousbaby.com ) who pick a charity each year–then go out and get a bunch of prizes to give away to donors.
Pretty simple–and effective. Thanks for playing. Pass the word! I hope you win!
