Era gears up for Barrow service June 1

I talked with my friends over at Era Aviation. They’re busy spooling up service to both Barrow and Aniak on June 1. Just in case you hadn’t heard, they also fly to Kodiak–here’s a snap:

A big plus in the expansion process is the integration of Era into the “Frontier Alaska” family, including Frontier Flying Service and Hageland Aviation. All together, the three airlines serve more than 90 communities around the state.

Frontier Flying Service, based in Fairbanks, offers service to the North Slope, to Nome and Kotzebue and a host of communities in between.

Hageland Aviation concentrates more on smaller communities because of their extensive fleet of smaller aircraft.

On June 1, Era’s Dash-8 will provide daily service ANC-FAI-BRW and return each day. This is a great opportunity to see Barrow–either by buying a ticket or using Alaska Airlines points.

To Aniak, Era will operate the Beechcraft 1900D aircraft. With 19 seats, the stand-up cabin will offer a new level of comfort for travelers.

Be sure and watch for upcoming web specials and fare sales on the website. Also, you can follow Era Aviation on Twitter to stay up-to-date: www.twitter.com/eraaviation .
