What’s the best Alaska Airlines deal from Alaska right now? If you guessed “Hawaii” you would be pretty close. Indeed, you can fly nonstop between Anchorage and Kahalui (Maui) for as little as $249 each way.
You need to purchase your tickets no later than June 3. Travel through Sept. 30. What a great deal!
But my uber-favorite Alaska Airlines deal still is their “double qualifying miles” or “EQM” (elite qualifying miles) promotion for travel between now and June 30.
First, if you haven’t done so, register for the double miles online.
When you fly this month, you’ll earn double credit toward your MVP or MVP Gold level. This is huge, folks. I don’t know if I can overstate this. With your elite status, you can bypass many of the everyday annoyances of air travel. MVP Golds, for example, still can check two bags for free. Most change fees are waived. You get to take the “short line” at security at most airports. Plus, there are the upgrades (nice!).
