Hello from the edge of the world: St. Paul Island in the Bering Sea (25 percent off)

In Adventure, Destination, Parks, Southwest Alaska by scott

Extreme birders know where St. Paul Island is. So do Bering Sea crab fishermen. Most other travelers think St. Paul is the city next to Minneapolis. Think again. The island is home to the crested auklet, the tufted puffin, the red-legged kittiwake and an endless list of ducks, terns, seabirds and other winged creatures. St. Paul Island also hosts a huge migration of Northern Fur Seals.

The St. Paul Island Tour is the best way to see the island. Everything except airfare is included:  naturalist guide (with a warm, dry van!!), three meals a day and accommodations.

JUST IN: The St. Paul Island Tour is 25 percent OFF between now and Oct. 16, 2022!

The community of St. Paul is very welcoming to visitors on the tour. The hotel (King Eider) is at the airport. It features shared baths–the rooms are clean and comfy. And the wi-fi is free. Take your meals at the Trident Seafoods cafeteria. Our guides, Claudia and Sulli, knew where all the critters were…and the best way to approach them for an up-close look. Check out the photos.
