After hunkering down for awhile, Land’s End Resort wants to welcome you back to the best beach in Alaska: at the end of the Homer Spit!
Make plans now to visit Land’s End at the End of the Spit–and stay awhile. There are a couple of nice packages for “extended stays” of at least five nights.
Package 1: Port Rooms: $450 for 5 nights through June 17. After that: $660 for five nights (plus tax)
Package 2: Starboard Suites/Staterooms: $800 for 5 nights through June 17. After that: $975 for five nights (plus tax)
Dine in at the Chart Room. I always vow to eat sensibly when I visit Land’s End. OK–I skipped dessert. Pictured, below: a big fat steak that I at at the bar.
Another option for dinner (healthier): This weekend’s dinner special (pictured, above): Six Alaskan scallops, local Homer Synergy Farm’s greens, candied bacon, local organic duck egg, lemon vinaigrette, smoked fingerling potatoes, salsa verde. Sign me up. Dial (907)235-0406 for reservations.
I’ve gotta tell you–Land’s End has been our “go-to getaway” for years.
Take a walk along the beach. Grab the perfect sunset photo. Hang out in the beachfront hot tub. Watch the eagles, the otters…and the occasional whale right off the beach. Relax.
Call (907)235-0400 for reservations. Or visit the website for details.
“You’ve come so far already, why not go all the way…to Land’s End in Homer, on the Kachemak Bay.” So sings Hobo Jim. Watch the video, below.
Then, make your own plans to visit Land’s End…just listen to Hobo Jim‘s invitation:
Disclaimer–We love Hobo Jim’s video so much that we leave it up all year. But the “Getaway Special” is only available in the winter.
