Getaway from Anchorage to Talkeetna on board the McKinley Explorer full-dome private rail cars this summer. Gray Line of Alaska offers a great deal on this two-day Alaska tour.
Start at the Anchorage rail depot, where you’ll board the McKinley Explorer. Hungry? Order breakfast downstairs on the restaurant deck, then go upstairs to view the epic vistas on your way up to Talkeetna. Have your camera ready–there are several spots along the way where you can get a great view of Denali (weather permitting).
Talkeetna is an eclectic town at the junction of three rivers, where nature trails and optional activities abound, including jetboat tours and flightseeing. Stay at the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge, featuring  the “Mother of All Decks” which looks out over Denali! Overnight Talkeetna.
The next day, you’ll have time for optional morning activities. Later, re-board the McKinley Explorer and begin the return journey to Anchorage.
Prices start at just $149 per person. Includes roundtrip rail transportation, accommodations at the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge, motor coach transfers to/from the Talkeetna rail depot.
