ALASKA DISPATCH: Drill down on air fares, hotel deals

In Airfares, Consumer, Lodging, Parks, Shopping, Uncategorized by scott

We love our friends at the Alaska Dispatch. If you have not done so, sign up to receive their daily blast of stories. There’s always something clever or important. Funny, too. They’re a smart bunch.

I write for them once a week on travel-related stuff. Tonight’s article is particularly timely if you’re considering a trip–like most of us, eh?

Think GERMANY, Portland, or a couple of spots around Alaska (Kodiak, Bethel).

Oh, here’s a new one: Anchorage-Minneapolis NONSTOP on Sun Country Airlines. It’s $534 roundtrip, starting May 26, 2011. Sun Country starts out flying four or five flights a week, then spools up to daily service June 16-Aug. 9, 2011. That’s at least $100 less than what Delta charges. But watch Delta. They’re likely to match the fare.

In tonight’s post, I parse out some specific dates that work both for Anchorage-Frankfurt and for Fairbanks-Frankfurt. ┬áPlus, a recap of Princess Lodges deals around the state. Check it out.
